WELCOME

Groenvlei Gras was established in 1992 by Julian and Denise Visser on a farm called Groenvlei. At first equipment and trucks for the harvesting and transportation of the grass had to be hired. More recently however, having acquired specialised equipment, Groenvlei Gras moved to a location outside Stellenbosch (see map) around 100 hectare of grasslands sporting a centre pivot irrigation systems.

Since, Groenvlei Gras has grown in a reputable company that has sucsessful constructed and maintained the Cape Town Stadium pitch for and during the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup in South Africa. We have also been involved in sucsessfully preparing practice pitches all over the country for the tournament.

With the experiance we obtained from the biggest event in the world we have been busy repairing local sports fields and assisting in advise to verious projects. Not only constructing fields but maintaining them as well.
